What can you tell me about this chair?
I remember climbing on the back of it and combing dads hair.
I remember it always being in the kitchen in the corner by the refrigerator.
Grandma sitting in it in the morning after dad had gone to work and being in it all day, working on her braided rugs. Or sitting across from me while i was learning how to make a cake and telling me what not to do. We always called it Grandma's chair. But really it is the family chair.
I remember when dad passed away and Terence, Mondie and I came home, mom was sitting in this chair crying and we all gatherd around her and hugged her and cried so hard.
I remember dad sitting in this chair and mom coming and sitting on his lap.
I start to cry now just remembering the memories of "Grandma's chair".
What memories can you share of this chair?
I would love to hear about it.
Please share!

The Keeper of the light!
This was the tour guide who told us all about the light house, dressed in old authentic atire. He almost looks like a statue.
That little man down at the bottom is Leland. I am at the top looking out the window taking his picture.
Sorry for the mix up in pictures. I don't know how to move them to where i want them. This was a picture i snapped of the waves crashing into shore. I have a great video of them too.
This is a picture of the Yaquina head lighthouse staircase, holding my camera out and snapping a picture going down. I was too afraid to look over the rail and take the picture. I still can't believe i climbed to the top with Jamie and Toni.
A beautiful view of the ocean using a swap color on my camera. You can see the ocean is blue but the rest is black and white.
We hiked up to Munson Falls. So beautiful.

This is Yaquina Head Light house. The most photographed lighthouse. It was so awesome. One of the tallest lighthouses we saw. Again I used a color swap with my camera and i liked how it turned out with the blue sky.

This is Cape Meres. Small but beautiful

The path to Cape Meres Light house.

This was on the road from Garberville to Fort Bragg. We were going to stay in Garberville but the motel was a dump. The head boards were bolted to the wall, the linolium floors were worn and the place was a bit frightful. We went to eat at a resteraunt and the least expensive thing on the menu was $25. We decided to drive on. After we did, well watch for yourself. We named the road the entrence to Hell's Grove.

A CHALLENGE!!!!

I can't believe it is almost the middle of February already.

CONGRATULATIONS TO WHITNEY.

I have been trying to find out how we can all donate to a righteous cause.
I think we should all try to donate a little each month to her missionary fund.
We can do this through our own wards and put it for Whitney/missionary fund.
This will make it tax deductable also.
I will check into it further and let you all know.
Even if you only give $5.00 a month you will get tremendous blessings.
I am going to try for more than that however. Maybe $20.00.
Sounds like a lot when you are unemployed.
So do i have any takers.
How many of you are willing to donate to a righteous cause and get huge blessings from our Heavenly Father for helping in some small way?
That is my challenge to all of you!!!!!!

Lets hear what the rest of you think.
Remember only what you can afford and feel comfortable doing.
Maybe it is only a letter once a month to Whitney to encourage her along the way.
No text messaging, LOL. She is going to go through huge withdrawls. Maybe we can all right her and let her know we are thinking of her. In what ever way you can help it will all count.

Love you all.
Lets hear from all of you

*sung* Called to serve Him heavenly king of glory! *sung*

Today around 2:00 Jamie Lynn sent out a message to all of us that Whitney's mission call had come in the mail! Around 3:15 I decided that maybe we should just make a quick run out to Grantsville to be there when she opened it. So Cassie, Harlee and I headed out at 3:45 and got there a little after 5:00. Whit didn't get off work until 6:00 so we got there and surprised my mom (I had given Jamie a head's up to watch out for us,) and then we all ate dinner. As soon as Whit got home (she was surprised too!) she ran to her room to get out of her work cloths then we all gathered in the family room to hear the exciting news. Mom called Dad and I called Jeremy so they would be "there" too.
Drum roll please!................................... Sister Tavia Whitney Wilcox has been called to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Jackson, Mississippi!! We all cried because the importance of this call is written in the letter they send and it really hit us all as she read it. I recorded what i could of it and will post it on here when I find my camera! But I just wanted to say congratulations to my sister and tell her how proud I am of her for making the decision to forget herself and do The Lord's work. She will be great!!

Remember to also check Tavia's (Whitney's) blog to read her version of the story!! http://www.songsofanivoryheart.blogspot.com/

P.S. I just realized whitney alredy posted on this blog too so go ahead and take a look under this post for her's. LOL
